Aan het begin van een door de Palestijnen uitgeroepen "Dag van de Woede" is het vandaag in Jeruzalem tot rellen gekomen. Volgens de Israëlische politie hebben tientallen demonstranten in de wijk Isawiya en het vluchtelingenkamp Shuafat stenen gegooid. De oproerpolitie joeg de menigte uit elkaar met geluidsgranaten en rubberen kogels. Volgens Palestijnse bronnen kwam het ook in andere wijken van Oost-Jeruzalem tot gewelddadigheden, toen de politie sit-ins met traangas en de wapenstok uit elkaar sloeg.
